This privacy policy describes how Skyhawk Labs, LLC ("we," "us," or "TalonHR") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our services.

We collect information you provide directly, such as when you create an account, use our services, or contact us for support. This may include:

- Company name and role
- Employee data you upload or sync from your HRIS
- Performance reviews, goals, and feedback content
- Usage data and analytics
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services
- Process transactions and send related information
- Send technical notices, updates, and support messages
- Respond to your comments and questions
- Analyze usage patterns to improve user experience

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.
Third-Party Services
We may share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics, payment processing, and AI features (see below). These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.
AI Features (Kestrel)
Kestrel, the AI assistant in TalonHR, is powered by Claude, a model made by Anthropic. Kestrel only runs when someone asks it to, for example by choosing "Draft with Kestrel". Each request sends the records that feature needs, such as goals, review text, or 1:1 notes, from our servers to the model provider. Nothing is sent from your browser, and the model provider does not use this data to train its models.
Depending on how your workspace is hosted, requests go to either Anthropic's API or Amazon Bedrock. On Amazon Bedrock, requests are handled inside Amazon Web Services and Anthropic has no access to them. Kestrel's suggestions are not saved unless you add them to a record yourself, and Kestrel never makes decisions about people on its own.
